My brand new bike, a Bombtrack Hook EXT C, built for gravel riding, had a proper breaking in on a 90+ mile ride from my driveway through the coastal range along the north fork of the Trask River, and down through Tillamook and out to Netarts and the ocean.

An all day ride, packing enough food and water to comfortably fuel for that distance.

My buddy Vytas organized this ride, and another friend Dustin came as well.

The bike was great and handled the terrain exactly as advertised 🙂 except for that clicking bottom bracket.

The climbs were slow and brutal over some super chunky gravel on these steep logging roads, but once over the top, gravity and 650b 2.0 tires allowed for a good amount of speed for the descent.

Plenty of daylight left as we finished the ride in Netarts. Looking forward to the next one!!
